logistics of a PPI at porsche dealer by indy
How does the process of getting a PPI done on a 911 by and indy mechanic work when the car is at a Pcar dealership? More specifically, can the indy do the inspection at the dealers lot or does a full PPI require the car to be up on the rack and be transfered to their shop? Mainly wanting to know how this works logistically.
thanks

I'd be curious as well - I'm considering an '03 Targa at a dealer and I have a really good indy mechanic for my Benz that is Porsche certified. I'm guessing, but the dealer's attitude would be that who better to inspect and recondition a car than them? I predict that they won't be as willing to part with the car for an off-site PPI as a private seller would be.
I agree with this. If the dealer balks, and the indy is a well-respected outfit, then that just might be all you need to know.
+2. But I'm guessing you wont have a problem. I good PPI will run about $500 or so (if your guy has a paint meter have him do that too) and I have never had a problem with a dealership agreeing.
