Selling my 2009 Carrera - Questions

Here's the reason why I'm selling first off... I just had a deal fall into my lap, 9.1 acres of property on a main river in the Cohutta National Forest for a really great price.

#1, the Porsche can't ford Rivers
#2, I cant afford both the Porsche payment and the property payment

Don't get me wrong, I'm not deserting Porsche... I still plan to buy a GT3 or Turbo next year... its just that my private practice won't be paid off until December 2011 and I don't want to miss out on buying this land NOW! This was an incredible deal and location and they're not making any more!

So-----------------

Selling my 2009 Carrera, 19" Aftermarket Wheels, Aftermarket GT3 wing, FabSpeed Primary By-Pass (I still have the original primary muffler and rear deck lid).

What I'm asking you guys who buy/sell these cars... KBB value is about $70K... do you think I'd have better luck trading it in for the Jeep I need to buy or try to sell privately in the Atlanta news paper...

What would you recommend?

Check the building & clearing setbacks from the river. The river protection setbacks can eat up a lot of land.

Not sure where '09s are, but KBB is meaningless. Sell the wheels and rear deck separately for another $3k+ - you'll never get that on top of the value of your car. Good luck and enjoy the land move!

Tough decision -
Private sale is a headache (IMO) .

Have you tried calling a few independent dealerships which specialize in selling higher end cars ? They usually offer less than a private sale but more than a trade in and it is convenient . They also have other high end used cars and even though I prefer buying all my cars new from an authorized dealership you might be able to find a used SUV that's in good shape .

I think you'd get 70K for it private sale and approx 64K from an indy (maybe more) .

is property price really so low that p-car price makes any actual difference?

told ya - do not get loans for the cars, only leads to frustration. if you would pay cash you would not worry about any payments for it now.

selling it urself will be more tedious.. however, u will get more money than trading it in.
Dealerships make more money from undervaluing the trade-ins than selling new cars..
if u must work a deal with the dealer, finalize the Jeep deal, and then bring up the trade-in.

Just look on the Porsche website, there's one listed at $72k, another at $73k. Would you like fries with that?
