Stone Guards covered by CPO?

I thought I recalled many people on this forum saying they had their stone guards replaced due to discoloration under their CPO warranty. My dealer just informed me that they are not covered as discoloration is a product of the elements.

If they should indeed be covered...does anyone have any tips to help my cause when I am speaking with the service mgr at my dealer? Anything I can reference?

Thanks!

They are so cheap, why even bother the dealership.
Less than 50$ for both and anybody can do the installation.

The time it takes the car to the dealership and then convincing them is def. worth more than 50$ IMHO.

I have to agree with Raja, some things just aren't worth the hassle. I'd rather put them on myself anyway!

I have had mine replaced under warranty. Didn't have to do anything special other than saying I hate the way this looks. It is an eye sore and makes my car look very bad. I didn't however make a special trip just for the stone guards. I had a flat tire and a scratched rim replaced at the same time. Those were covered by wheel insurance.

She agreed to change them under warranty before I even tipped her.

If it was normal for the plastic to discolor wouldn't all of the clear bra people have the same yellowing issue?
