First 911...first post
Thank you for the great comments. I'm really enjoying the car! One question, should I sell the PCM, Bose amp and nav or should I keep the gear for when I sell the car many years down the the road? I'm more inclined to sell, as I the OEM technology will be very dated in the future.
That is a very sanitary installation by the way. Nice job. Anyone seeing the car, for whom the stack is just a bunch of radio stuff, they won't notice it isn't original. To anyone who knows electronics, like me and especially a serious fan of gizmo-toys, the difference will be obvious -- but that sort of person will be glad of the change once they see how well done it was. Be sure to keep the documentation and pictures if you have them, but don't confuse a hypothetical future buyer in the first category. Just save it for a serious geek who wants to know.
Meanwhile, why would you ever sell it in this lifetime? That is one beautiful machine and I only wish... Oh wait, I do have one. Every time I see one of these pictures posted I have to go look in the garage again. Just because I can.
So I will.
G'night all,
Gary

Some may consider the purchase price a touch high, but where I reside in Canada, there is very tight CPO supply with the options I wanted, primarily CPO, low milage, colour, full leather and sport seats. If there was a comparable car, the price would be $15,000 to $20,000 higher. I liked the car and purchased it for 45% of the new value, so $5,000 higher or lower then what I paid really did not matter to me.
I would not sell any of the original equipment. Hang on to it for the distant day you decide to sell it. Whether your car ever becomes collectible or not, it is always a selling point to have on hand all the original equipment.
