Lease questions

Hey guys,

Hope this is in the right place. I am looking to lease an 09 carrera cab (low miles but bare options, no nav/power seats, 6-speed). The dealer is offering 8.2k down (includes tax, first payment, and drive off) and roughly $830 a month. for 24 months, 12k miles per year.

Not sure what money factor I am getting or what the residual is but does this seem right?

TIA

You need to find out residual and money factor. I'd look into a new lease to compare apples to apples. There might be some incentives out there that could really narrow the gap. Plus, if you divide $8200 by 24 months, that's another $340 you're paying per month. I don't really think $1200 per month sounds like such a good deal. I'd rather pay $1300 per month for a new one for 36 months.

check out leasetrader.com and swapalease.com. they should give you some sense of the market. also since you are OK with a 6speed transmission, i think you should consider a 997.1 (2005-08) and save some money.
