hissing noise (not tires)
hissing noise (not tires)
2011 C4, 1500mi.
After a spirited ride, i noticed a hissing noise coming from the front driver's side. At first, i thought it was the tires, but after further inspection, it appeared to come from the front vent under the turn indicator housing (not sure what it's called).
Putting my hand through the 'vent', seemed to be a clear oily fluid at the base. (see pictures). Wasn't water, and i don't know enough about automobile fluids to decipher what it is. The hissing went away after 45 minutes. Haven't started the car since.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated before i bring it to the dealership.
Cheers!

Those are where your radiators are located. One on each side in the recesses under the turn indicators. You may have had a rock jam in there at high speed and spring a slight leak. The hissing is most likely due to the hot radiator fluid and gasses escaping out of the hole. Get it fixed. The car needs these working well to not overheat.
