Rms, ugh.
Mine was leaking a bit and under warranty. Turned out to be the IMS instead and they replaced it. The RMS seems like a high probability event with a 911. I've had no issues since and about 10k miles later. Ask the shop - doing the RMS is a routine event, probably more common than doing a clutch!

I'd vote to get it fixed. It is under warranty. Your lucky that your local dealer is willing. I've heard that unless it is dripping onto the ground, many dealers won't touch it under warranty. Seems like a bit of B.S. to me to not address the issue, but bravo for your local for taking care of you.

Ok, here's another question...is there any mod that I could think about while this is being done? Something that makes it more "fun"? Light weight flywheel sounds cool, but I've read that that can cause problems...so I don't know about that. SSK doesn't really seem like something I'd want. Anything else worth considering?

I heard that 997.2, this issue has finally been fixed....so my 2009 C4S should be OK...is this true?
Also, I'd like to understand why not driving the car much makes the RMS worse...I only have 4400 mile on my car since I have a DD as well.

As I understand, it's not low mileage which makes it more susceptible, but driving at low rpms. Let it rev and be happy! But I could be wrong...
You have this tiny little spot on your face. No biggie you say. Until it becomes a big problem.

Dude, get it fixed. It's not like a door ding. Why this a question? And drive your car more!
It will get worse. If not for you then the second or third or fourth owner.....

As for mileage, from what I understand there are two possible causes. Crankcase pressure keeps the seal "sealed". Crankcase pressure comes from running...regularly. Second, seals "dry up" when not regularly lubricated by running...and then begin to leak.

I hear denial. Havn't you ever been to AA, er, had a friend that has? First step is admitting you have a problem.
I'm sure you have a few neighbors that wouldn't mind keeping the seal "lubricated".
