C2 Black Edition Questions

A couple of quick questions for everyone....

1. Does the Black Edition come with a iPod hook up?
2. Does anyone know what the 2 and 3yr residuals are on the car for a lease?

Thanks!

A quick look at www.porscheusa.com and the black edition microsite shows that it does come standard with what looks like the full Nav system with hard drive. I am not sure if that means the Ipod hookup is included or not. I imagine its just a cable. No idea about the value of the black edition over time. I am sure it would not be far off from a standard C2 or C2S.

Yes, I looked at the website but as you see, it's not totally clear if iPod is included or not...

I guess I'll just call a dealer tomorrow.

True...

I opened the config for a black series and the Ipod hookup was not an option. My guess it is standard but I would check with your dealer.

The car seems barely special at all - almost cheesy - the Boxster S Black seems nicer as marketing gimmicks go - at least it is an "S". But I reckon if you like it and the price is good, it is a Porsche 911 and Black is very nice.

The "Web Special" about is almost silly "black brake calipers", "black instrument dials" - duh - all base Carreras come that way, unless there is something more black or more special about these...

Ipod hook-up is standard - here's one that lists standard features (ipod is listed) and includes a few upgrades - it does seem like a decently priced package - maybe like the GTS - a little more for your money than if you cobbled it together off a standard order car (my car listed for more in '09 and was not as nicely equipped)...

Ain't this the truth. IMO this is e least desirable 911 there is. Limited edition or not.

While I agree that as special editions go it's nothing special, I don't see how it's the least desirable 911 there is. Turbo wheels, Infotainment, and $6000 savings. If nothing else, it represents decent value comparatively IMHO.

Any chance to get pasm or pse as options? An S version available?

Anything to make it appeal more to a some drivers?

You can get 10k off a new 2011. So the black package savings is not that significant IMO.

Not available in S, but you can add any options you want, as long as it's black.

I wish an S version was available too.

You can get 3-4K off the Black Edition and given it's a 2012 I think that negates the $10K off a 2011 - although I'm sorta guessing about that.
