Nope .. I don't recall ever searching for a smaller car . all my cars are small cars.

I already have had an M3 for the last three years . I could have kept it as it ran perfectly but with 36K miles , 1 year of warranty left , and the next gen M3 a few years away .. I had doubts to let the car go over 50K miles with no warranty in the next two years . A new car had no doubts . It also has some upgrades . I am ok with the price to swap so all i have to do now is wait for the new car to be built.

The next generation M3 will not come out until after the 328 (2013 Model year ) , then the coupe (2014 model year ) , then the vert and m3 (2014 or 2015 ? ). By them my 08 car would have no warranty and well over 60K miles as its a DD .

For me .. it was worth it .
This is what my car will be like minus the DCT (I got 6speed) . I did add the perfornace parts and today included the carbon bits.

That exhaust sounds great - makes me want to replace my '08 M3 that I thoroughly enjoy as you did. i drive a lot - 44K mi so far - and never tire from the 6sp. Enjoy the soon to be new M3.

Yep. Was in similar shoes as you as the 08 car ran perfect but the miles were adding on , the warranty was a year away, and the new car impressed . You might be surprised at how well they held trheir value too when and if you decidse to trade it in .
