For me the Targa only came in a 4wd and I love it.

Added 17mm spacers on my 09 C4S and it feels as nimble as a C2S.

I went through the same dilemma when searching for my first Porsche purchase. I live in the mid-west where we do get considerable snow but I can work from home on really bad days. There are a couple of little hills in my daily commute that just killed me in my "beater", rear-wheel drive Caddy STS. A bare dusting of snow or a heavy rain at a T-intersection with just enough incline...difficult to get through the intersection! I resolved to get an AWD on my next car purchase. When a C4S showed up at a local dealer, it was like a dream come true. My husband still doesn't believe that I'll put winters on it and make it my DD. Those little hills don't stand a chance this next season!!

As many have stated, it's good advice to drive as many as you can so you can judge for yourself...

All that being said and climate aside, I prefer the widebody look. IMO it sets itself apart in the 911.

Plus back in 07 the Gt2 wasn't out yet and prior to recent times the Gt cars used to have heavy markup prices .

I do prefer rear wheel drive in a lighter NA car .
But I also like the high Hp of the Turbo more than anything.

Thus the dilema .. and 2 cars.
....and your Turbo is sweet sweet sweet....awesome car!

Thanks Mike .
Drove it today to warm it up . With only 11K miles after four years i find that the less i drive it the more of an impression it leaves when I do take it for a spin .

I really love this car!!!!

With the turbo and the rain we often get, I can use the extra traction.

Because it's fast fast fast in the wet :

and sometimes faster than a C2 even in the dry :

and loads of fun on snow/rain/mud/treakle :

I think cbzzoom's avatar pretty well sums it up, but it is all about those sweet curves on that big sexy booty that did it for me!

When I started shopping I really did not like the idea of all wheel drive without a turbo, but I was in LOVE with the widebody. I drove a C2 and a C4s and actually ended up liking the ride in the C4s better.

If I had hated the ride I would not have sacrirficed looks for feel / performance, but in an everything's equal scenario, I am taking the widebooty everytime.
