Black Car Photoshoot Bandwagon

I got egged into taking some photos of my ride - or I was looking for an excuse to break out the camera gear - whatever.
Anyway - took the 5D, 16-35II, ST-E2, and 580EX along for a ride to the grocery store tonight and stopped to take some shots on a dirt road around the corner.
I liked the way I processed the first shot and copied that to the rest of them.
Let me know what you think. Sorry for the repetition in processing and location, but - it is what it is...
I'd like to take more, and I'd really like to pair up with someone and take some shots while driving! So - this is just a first step:

Clean black 997, I like pictures number 5 and 6, love the lower stance. The leaves on the last pic is really clear. All your pics looks a little bright to me. idk but the pictures doesn't pop, I know post processing is very important, something I'm not very good at to get it to pop.

Stacy -
Thanks for the comments. Yes - this is fun.
I just drove a bit on that road, nothing to mess things up.

Ynot -
Thanks for the feedback. I think you're right on the 'pop'. I forgot to tweak contrast the first time around, but I think it's more than just that.

I took another shot at one of the ones that you guys liked, so here are a few more version:

This first one is similar to the way I had it, with a few more tweaks and the sign and pole removed:

this next one is the shot straight out of the camera, other than re-sizing and convert to jpeg:

then I made another attempt, starting from scratch:

Who knows, maybe I'd get more pop with a cleaner car (hasn't been washed in about a week), or a more industrial (cleaner) background/setting.

Anyway - thanks for looking.

A cleaner subject will probably help. I like the first one, it's better. I really like Ronnie Ronaldi and Jason Tang's photography, their pics really 'pop'. Obviously both of them spending a lot of time on post processing.

I don't know of their work, but I'll try and seek it out. I'm no pro, just a hack, but I sold my old 911 to a local professional photographer. I think I'll see if I can link up with him for some rolling shots and maybe some tips.

Try a CPL on that 16-35. With that lens get a good one like the B+W with MRC. It will help reduce unwanted reflections and increase saturation a little. I have that lens and find that combination to be a very nice piece of kit.

Thanks!

Sorry I can't provide more info, but the screens came with the used bumper that I bought from someone here on 6speed.

Great idea!! I have/had a nice CPL for my other lenses (77mm?), but I misplaced it. I've been meaning to buy another one, but I could buy one for this lens (82, I think?) and I wouldn't be upset if/when that other one turns up...

I think CPL is great for track photos as well. Thanks for that thought!
