Oil consumption in Sport Mode higher ?

I find that my oil consumption increases when I drive in Sport Mode more often. As the throttle response always feels dead in comparison I much prefer being in SM at the expense of any kind of reasonable gas mileage of course but curious if others experience an increased oil consumption as a result.

The first thing I do after every startup is press the Sport button. I would think the oil consumption is more related to the type of driving than the sensitivity of the accelerator pedal.

I wouldn't say I drive it hard but will push it, within reason on public roads, as often as conditions will allow. Sems to me that's the point of having it. But, with regards to oil consumption, I would consider mine a bit high. Not as bad as Porsche claims is acceptable, a quart ever 600 kilometers. Mine is something closer to a qt. every 1200 miles or so. Seems high to me but the majority of my driving is in town and relatively short distances. Enough to fully warm the engine but not 30+ minute drives on the highway. Have a road trip planned for this weekend , 750+ miles round trip, and will top of the oil before I start and check oil at the end of each leg of the trip. Then I'll post it here to see what others experience has been.

oil consumption is dependent on so many factors. mine ate almost no oil until 10k miles, at which point it started eating a quart every 1k miles. dealer said that is very common. since switching to 5w40 (redline) on my last oil change, 1500 miles ago, i haven't dipped any on the oil meter.
