C2S owners - sport button?

I just tried the sport button for the first time today - WOW what a big difference. It felt like a different car altogether.

Do you guys usually drive with it on? I feel like with PASM set to Sport mode, the ride is a little rough around town.

It is indeed a little rough, but while keeping the Sport Mode engaged, push the shock button to return to the comfort position. Now, you have the growl of the engine, the fast response of the throttle, the pre-loading of the brakes and..... the comfort of the regular shocks.

This is the way I rode about town when I had my C4S. I never really had the enhanced throttle off - it was more fun with it on. My GT3 is just louder with the sport button on, but I still have it on all the time. I generally only engage the stiffer ride at higher speeds on good roads because I like the handling difference.

Interesting responses. I never use sport button. I will set the dampers to the stiffer setting on occasion but do not like the electronics messing with the throttle curve. Does sport mode bring any other benefits on a 2006 C2s?

Rudy,

You need to read again your owner's manual and the literature about the 997.1 type S. The sport mode does a lot to the car.

I rarely use the sport button. The suspension becomes too hard for 90% of roads and the throttle gets too jumpy. I guess the stability control eases up a bit... if you want that.

I drove it yesterday with the button on and damper set to normal. Felt great.... now the only question: is there a way to have the sport button on at all times? I'm guessing you would have to resort to hacking the system or something.

I never thought of this either...I can't wait to try it tomorrow! I don't use the sport button very often, but I love having it as it really does make it seem like a completely different car.

intersting ideas, I rarely put the sport button on.. since the car reacts the way I drive, when driving on high rpm the car mood shifts just like a sport mood..
still when I race with the boys I put the sport plus

I usually go with the simple PSE button
I hate the idea of getting used to a car

+ I rarely need another reason to speed more than I do

the stiffened shocks go on on the way up to my house as the road that leads there is an urban uphill rallye stage in the Lebanese Rallye championship
I get to practice it every day, with the sports chrono, I can measure how well I do.
it is a backroad that basically leads up to the town I live in. Add to that that Lebanon has no enforced speed limit or road laws.

In red is basically the uphill
