Anyone doing or done the PSE hack on their 997. I know some are more partial to the gundo

hack. Just curious searched and found nothing on the PSE hack. I did it on my supercharged

996, with high flow cats and headers, I got many comment from guys driving v8 Camaros and

Mustangs and also Trans Ams. Any body Pse hack the 997.

 

I don't understand why everyone calls this a "hack" when it should be called a bypass! Hack sounds "low tech!"

 

I have not done it (yet) but I did have a chat with Dan at Sharkwerks and he said it can be done on PSE. It's a little tighter fit, apparently, but definitely doable.
Let us know if you get it done. I'm curious as to how it would alter the PSE sound.

You might want to be a bit more specific. Do you mean making the mufflers on a PSE equipped car be "on" all the time, or do you mean to "hack" a partial bypass into a regular set of mufflers to sound louder?

If you mean the partial bypass: Gundo Hack = PSE Hack. Same thing. Gundo is one of the early 997 "hack" adopters who posted a lot of pictures of the modified mufflers to make it easier for others to do the same.
