I currently drive '09 C4S Launch Edition. Need opinions on going from that to 2005 Turbo S. Anyone had both? Pros, cons, dos and don'ts will be appreciated.

 

Why oh why would you want to do that? That's a bad move. After you have been using the new PCM going back will be really annoying. Put on an exhaust and get a tune, but don't do that kind of deal. While your at it why not join NJMP since its only an hour from Philly and learn how to drive what you got? Maybe it'll be more fun then.

 

You will hate the old PCM. Why dont you get an 09TT?

Pretty crazy swap, doesn't make sense. the 997 is leaps and bounds better both interior and exterior over the 996. I keep it the 997.2 and enjoy it.

Either 997.2 TT or keep the C4S... Everything else (in my opinion) would be a downgrade.

I think this needs to be asked: why are you considering this move? Is there a price consideration? I don't get it unless you prefer an older car and the looks of the 996s.

No chance ... 997.2 all the way. Far superior car. May not be as fast, but really ... who cares. The C4S is a fantastic, well performing machine. No need to downgrade all the rest of the car, just for the TTs added power.

In any case, what are your reasons for considering the change?

 

The C4S PDK is faster.

 

Doesn't surprise me actually! Even more of a reason not to go to a 996T.

 

But the 997.2TT PDK is faster than a C4S.
