I like the sound a lot. When i go tap on the throttle I can hear it suck in air, like a mini blow off valve, and at the upper RPM's it wails. I'll be replacing the stock paper filter when it's dirty and swapping it with dual BMC filters for even more sound and efficiency. Here is the link:

wow thats awesome !!!! deff the way to go in my eyes then =D so the link is for a upgraded filter to go inside the x-51?

Yea those are the BMC filters for the X51.

So, what's the difference between my stock dual-coned filter air intake (w/ BMC filters) on my '09 Carrera S and the X-51 air intake?

A pretty carbon fiber airbox vs. plastic I think Porsche saw the benefits of the X51 intake and applied it to the 997.2

You mean I finally broke even on something?!?!

BTW, there's a company nearby that does vinyl wraps. Think I'll see what it would cost to get my stock plastic intake a carbon fiber wrap. Always liked the looks of CF but could never justify the cost.

.. Thats actually a really good idea to wrap the stock box for someone in that same situation.
