Car Sold - My Final Post - Knowledge to Share
i don't mean any disrespect to the OP, but i still don't get it..
it's not like u needed the money for emergency..
why sell the Pcar u saved for 15 long years so easily ?
if u r planning on using the profit from 'stock investment' to supplement ur income, just remember there are no guarantees..
also, u r still relatively young at 45..
why not get another sales job in different industry if the hobby industry is going down ?
with the kind of deals u seem to be able to make in buying and selling cars, u should be able to succeed in any business..
again, BOL

"That being said, a good part of the blame must also go to the greedy manufacturers who were so willing to hand over everything to the Chinese so they could shutter their US factories fire all their employees and outsource production to make higher profits."
And that my friends, is why America is now basically reduced to a serviced-based industry and our entire mfg base now is in the hands of the PRC. (ie The Chinese Army). As far as I'm concerned, it's criminal. But you can thank the labor unions for pricing their represented workers (but not themselves) out of jobs and driving that mfg base overseas, as being a large part of the equation.
Best to you, Auto Union. (Mike) Just having ANY car to drive is a blessing. If it's an enjoyable car to drive, all the better. We may well see you in a Porsche again someday.

Excellent point. We should only purchase products that are "Made in America." Porsche is made in America, right?
Pfft. Next please.

Hey Mike, good luck with everything. You sound like a pretty industrious guy. Not sure I could have swung a 911 purchase on 25k a year. It's only when you started editorializing on the future value of the 997 that you lost me ("like a stone", "obsolete". But that doesn't mean I can't be hopeful for your future. I do wish you good luck.
Cheers
