Do I have TPMS in my wheels?

Tried searching but no luck: I have a set of 19" lobster NB wheels with the metal valve stems, off my 2006 car. On the dash I don't seem to have TPMS, but I have been told the metal stems indicate the TPMS sensors are in the wheels? Is there any way for me to know if the sensors are installed? Do I need to Xray them?

Any help would be appreciated!

If you don't have TPM as an option doesn't matter if you have the transmitters in the wheels so you probably need to check that first - no TPM option then nothing to read.

thanks. actually i just want to know if the transmitters are in the wheels, as the wheels (with tires) are off the car. trying to sell these and need to know if the TPMS is in these wheels.

If there's no easier way, I guess I'll have to take the tires off to check.

Well you say they are off your car and IIRC, 2006 model year was first year of TPMS as standard so if these wheels are your original you should have the transmitters. The metal stems are a prtty good indicator that you have the transmitters. Did you ever have TPMS readings on you car?
