Dectane Light Install

Hi all, new to the board here. I just received my dectane 997 gen 1 leds. After reading the threads with good reports i felt comfortable to order. I'm getting a brake light warnng message and as well my rear fogs don't work! (in Canada both sides are lit, not sure if different in the US) Also, the extra 'loose' resistor...is that the replacment for the resistor already intalled?

ThX

Add those extra resistors to make the message go away.

I had errors messages as well on my MY 2005 997S (early build) untill I installed the resistor packs. After putting them (packs) in the sensing circuit works fine (no errors). Fog and parking light functions work perfect.

Try the resister packs!

I have a Canadian car, and only the driver's fog light works.

Driver's side only on US cars as well. I think ROW cars work the same.

Thanks for everbody's replies..you guys are great. Quick question, I've confirmed only drivers side fog is supplied from Dectane, do any of you Canadian guys get a error message due to only one fog being lit?

Second dumb question....where do you 'stuff' the extra resistor...looks like they supply 2 pcs of double sided tape?

Only one fog light (driver's side) on the Porsche - doesn't matter if you're in the US, Canada, wherever - it's a "European thing". Since there's only one fog light, the only message you'll get is if the one fog light doesn't light up.

The resistor pack will fit in the tailight opening - just find a place that allows you to fit the light fixture in.

Another thing worth mentioning that I experienced. I was getting error messages on my 06 c4s after I added the resistors. Once you start the engine, they should go away. Didn't try this before I added the resistors, but that may have removed the codes as well.
