Not sure why they needed to call it a "Porsche crash" given that the particular car he was driving doesn't seem to have been a contributor to the accident.

Minok has a spectacular aura aboutMinok has a spectacular aura about
making left turn and struck on drivers side of car... no charges filed.

Seems, if that is the correct info, that the guy himself made a bone-head turn and got himself t-boned. (ie turning left from a non-leftmost lane, or u-turn from the right side, etc) Anyone have details to the contrary?

damn, that's crazy. Goes to show that life is short and unpredictable.
maybe I should get the nice car I've been lusting after instead of saving for a raining day...

89 C4 Colorado is infamous around these parts
I was there Sunday..

I was eating breakfast at a roadside cafe, watching cars go by,, a Gray 'mid 80's' 911 caught my eye... not long after.. fire truck raced by, caught my eye.. leaving town ( Aspen) and fire truck police ...etc up ahead, airport vicinity.. Gray 911 horribly T-boned and mangled with a later model blue heavy duty SUV stuck in it's side.. appears would have been turning out of airport ( right hand turn ) heading back in direction of Aspen, to be struck on that side... RIP.. never knew what I was seeing before or after till I read the news release.. sad indeed.

come to think of it.. as close as he was crumpled near the center divider, likely was crossing the highway , leaving the airport and heading away from Aspen.. anyway.. too bad all the same.. RIP.

Aspen paper says was heading left out of the airport, and he had a house in Woody Creek, which is on 82 in the direction of Basalt, so away from Aspen.

Sad really. There is a light at that Airport Road and 82 intersection - wonder who read it wrong?

I don't recall a lighted intersection at the point.. seems was just a crossing point in the vicinity of airport highway section.. anyway.. sounds like he did life in all the right ways .. perhaps some twisted benevolence in the way he left this world.. I'm thinking he literally didn't even know what hit him.. had to be quick ' painless' as they say... the 911 was nearly broke in two.

Looks like it was the airport's other entrance (closer to Basalt direction)

I think I heard that he was old....75 or older. I remember thinking he must've been quite a guy and enthusiast to be driving that little car at his age. RIP.
