Boxster Spyder Red Shift Knob
Boxster Spyder Red Shift ****
Well, thanks to all who have given me tips on how to remove and install the shift ****. Finally had time to do it today, after a 3 month waiting period for Porsche to have it in stock
! It was a helluva "PULL HARDER" technique, but got it off w/o a scratch to the interior
.
Here's how it looks like, for those who are contemplating this mod.

Thanks. I know what you mean. I had to open the sun roof, stand on the seats, put a set of long and big plier clamps with the rubber handles around the base **** for leverage, and did a dead lift pull with my head sticking through the sun roof

Hell, man, it's a much harder pull than watching **** like you were referring to

nice ****...no pun intended! but with careful skill couldn't the red outline be achieved by adding red paint in the grooves of a stock shifter say with a needle? any excess could simply be wiped off.
The only difference I can see is the red cap? You know that comes off w/o pulling the whole **** off right? You can just pry it off and change the cap easily. Hope you are exaggerating with the sunroof, the trick isn't to pull from the top. It's to pull from closer to the shaft. You have much more grip and comes out with much less force.

. Besides, the old **** and boot needed to be refreshened anyway. Also, I did not exaggerate....I did do that maneuver. Could not get a good grip at the base and found I needed the extra leverage to get it off...hehehe.
Bruddah, that would be too easy of a DIY
.
Huh? Selling your seats? Why? I'm looking for GT2 seats!
