I like the one in my C55 though I admittedly rarely use it and just like it cause the map looks cool at night. On the other hand, my wife 745 has the worse NAV ever, can any of you weigh in on this? Ease of use (inuitive), display, accuracy, POI's, breadcrumbs etc.. TIA

 

the one on the 996 (PCM II) was great so I think the 997 can only be the same or better...

The navigation system works just fine and it is fairly intuitive to use. Entering information is much easier compared to the BMW system(I had the new 745), once it is entered, the guidance system is similar to the BMW with the information being displayed both on the main screen and also on the small display screen on the front instrument panel. I am fairly satisfied with the system except I cannot seem to be able turn off the radio/cd while I am using the Navi. Does anyone know how to do this, if possible?

Sounds like some of you don't go anywhere than where you've been before.... How dull, and boring..

Rest assured if you need to get to a location that you have never been to, hundreds of miles away, it will get you there!

 

Switch to Audio, press SET, scroll to MUTE and press scroll button. Sound of radio is now muted. Switch back to MAP
