unfortunatley, the tax is determined where you live/register the car, not where you buy it......

SrfCity is infamous around these parts
AAA can handle all the DMV stuff. Call them and verify what they want if it's an out-of-state car.

oddly some in CA have said AAA told them they don't do it in AAA while others have had AAA do it in CA
