Porsche OEM replica wheels, worth it?

I'm looking for Turbo II wheels but they are not easy to find. Ebay has masses of Porsche replica wheels, I'm curious if any 6speeders have tried them. My criteria:

Fit/finish (Quality and does it look like the real thing?)
Wheel weight
(do not want it heavier that OEM)

One I'm looking at

Thanks for looking

Don't do it, members here will tell you that they are too soft! Not a good quality wheel, check For Sale Section, there are guys out there selling them at a good price. Love the wheel BTW!!!

Some low quality replica wheels are not worth for a look. Since we carry and sold many replica wheels, they're all DOT, TUV and JWL standard. They stand strong on Cayenne with 22". If you compare weight between OEM and replica Turbo II. It will be quite a different since OEM is forged and rep. is cast. For that listing on ebay, they require spacer to clear front brake caliper on most 997. Just a heads up. Since you're local, you're welcome to drop by our Richmond showroom to take a look of our wheels!

Some OEM wheels are harder to find than others but be patient and keep looking on Ebay. I bought my OEM Turbo I Wheels brand-new for $1900 for the set, which is much cheaper than the knockoffs you listed, and the seller had a couple other ones for sale too. Wheels are not the place to skimp on quality!

personally, i wouldn't buy any replica wheels.

they are usually heavy and/or not well-made, IMO

if u really want the turbo ii wheels, just be patient and wait for a nice used ones to come up for sale. i've seen few sets sell in the for-sale section for a good price.

I agree, low quality replicas aren't a good decision in my opinion

As others have said, I'd probably hold out until you find the real deal. The turbo IIs are harder to find and aren't cheap but definitely worth it IMO.

Quality and weight aside, I don't like replicas based on looks alone. I saw similar replicas for the Turbo I wheels on Ebay and thought they looked decent, but then on a trip to Miami, I saw a C2S with the replica wheels and they looked awful! When they are on the car, you can usually notice something's not quite right. The replicas are usually off in some way. For the Turbo I wheels, it was the finish and curvature of the spokes that gave it away.

Anyways, agree with others to be patient. I found an OEM narrow-body set of Turbo I wheels on Ebay for $2700 with Michelin tires. I thought it was a steal given the tires alone would run $1800 new, and these were only slightly used. I kept my eyes open for about 6 months to find them - the NB Turbo wheel sets are very hard to find, but they're out there!

Thanks for the feedback guys, my hunch was correct that oem is the way to go. These quality cars deserve a nice pair of shoes!
