Engine Replace & Odometer...

So, my CS had a bit of engine trouble and the engine was replaced under warranty. My question is this - if the engine is replaced, should the odometer be reset?

i don't think they reset the odometer on engine swaps. you would keep documentation to prove history e.g. 40k on chassis, 3k on engine.

I'm on my second engine too.
Odometer was not reset.
The service records provide all the documentation so I know how many miles are on the engine and the odometer tells me how many are on everything else.

What year is your CS and how many miles were on it when this happened? What was the cause of the failure? Sorry for so many questions, but this is good information for folks to know.

Sorry to hear you had trouble with it.

Thanks....

The odometer tracks vehicle mileage, not component mileage.
