How many miles do u have and how much oil does your car consume? I'm at just under 18k and consume about 1lt per 2000 miles, I find this ridiculous

+1 - it really is worth a search, if for no other reason than there is a boatload of info on the topic.

But, since I'm here, my .2 has 20k miles and seems to be settling down in oil consumption to around a quart every 2k miles. Just part of the deal...and fine with me. If not completely mechanical, I'm mechanically sympathetic and kind of enjoy the ritual.

i used redline 5w40 the last time around and it burned off noticeably less than the mobil 0w40. that said i'm due for a change and will prob go back to the lighter weight mobil this time since winter is approaching then switch back to the redline come spring.

My 2009 C2s has 9500 miles on it. Burns no oil. Even after a day at the track, still reads full bars. Burning some is normal though. No worries.
