Sorry if it has been discussed, but I searched and searched all over the place. I even looked at Porsche' site itself.

Does anyone know if the new 991 will be available as a cab in it's first production year?

has not been announced as far as i know (and i've been watching the 991 release pretty closely). my guess is we see it announced and available to order in around 6 months, with delivery in time for summer 2012. with about half the 911's sold being cabs, i don't see porsche waiting long to start selling them...

 

If porsche's plan is to sell 40000 of them in the first year they'll come in every flavor.

 

Not sure where I read it but one magazine said the next model year for the cabriolet. I was thinking that if the early next calendar year is the 2012 then 2013 is about September.

Also saw that the top is not fabric but covered ridged panels.
