My New 997 Steering Wheel

Just wanted to share some photos of my 4S's new steering wheel purchased from Ivan at DCT motorsports. DCT was awesome! I checked out their designs and then told Ivan exactly what I wanted. He custom made it for me based on my specs. and the fit and finish are excellent. I went with CF only on the lower portion of the wheel in order to minimize future sun related damage and possible fading or cracking. Anyways, I love it! Honestly does make a substantial, noticeable difference in your feel of the road and the vehicle. OK...Maybe its just in my head but it sure does feel great!

BTW: Ivan has been very patient with me regarding my install and the return of the core wheel. Thanks Ivan and I promise its on the way

<p>

Love it. The stock wheel falls far short in my opinion. I upgraded to the Alcantara GT3 wheel. Great improvement DOC --- love it

Stunning! I really like that. Of you don't mind, what was the ballpark cost and how long did it take? Wicked nice...

Thanks for the compliments and for taking the time to check out my post! Not a very difficult DIY once you figured out a few key install tricks. When you are removing the airbag, make sure you hold down the top portion of the airbag while pushing into the airbag release slot on the bottom of the wheel. The release works on a tri-point spring release system and if you don't do the above, the lower spring releases, causing the upper portion spring to catch and therefore not release. I know, crap description but, just trust me, and hold down the top of the airbag. Feel free to contact me if you need some advice on this DIY.

Looks nice.
I had a wheel custom wrapped in Alcantara by Dallas Custom Steering wheels. Huge benefit. I found the DCT wheels WAY overpriced.

Would love to see some pics. The wheel of the OP is great and DCT quality top notch too.

Also thinking of giving Dallas Custom Wheels a call as I find my mult functional wheel way to thin. DCT motorsports looks great but more or less the same price as getting a new one from Suncoast.

I certainly did my research before deciding on DCT and actually found the final price to be very competitive. Plus, based on other previous buyers feedback and reviews, I knew the quality and craftsmanship was proven. I just wanted it done right and I'm very happy with my decision.

They will take any stock core that is on our car? For example, you have a flat bottom on your new wheel, was your core stock and round?

Yes, Just sent them the oem standard wheel that the new one replaced. Does not need to be the same shape as the new wheel installed.
