waiting for the SE from the factory unless someone tells me how great fabspeed or speedart is. but everybody says wait.
DYING for an exhaust!
Opinions on exhaust are so subjective…Personally I think the Fabspeed exhaust sounds great but that’s just my opinion. I guess it depends on what you want you car to sound like. I wanted a throaty cup car sound and that’s what I got from my set up. I have the Fabspeed headers and mufflers with 200 cell cats. The car dropped weight and sounds great…
Your concern on the springs to drop that thing should be a non issue...I hardly noticed a difference in the ride which was disappointing! I’ll be switching out the Eibachs when PSS9’s are available for PASM.
...look under you car and then take a look at this. Fabspeeds quality is awesome!

DEETZ now that looks great. Why is Arling hating on these??.........**** looks official I want them!
Ko,
The exhaust setup will run about forty five hundred…The headers are about twelve hundred, the mufflers are about twelve hundred and the catalytics are about two grand. I do all of my own tech work so I couldn’t tell you about labor cost.
Let’s talk about your power issue for a minute…I started with a base 997 and without a supercharger I’m over 300hp at the wheels. Start by changing the way your car breathes (Fabspeed cold air kit or Evo V-Flo I have used both) next is the exhaust and of course you will need the GIAC flash to your ECU…when all is done not much more will be said about power needs…especially on an “S”…Oh I have the first position on the 997 GT3 list at my dealer so I’ll let you know how “slow” my 997 was after I get my GT3!
...PSS9's are a Bilstein shock/springs that can be corner balanced and you will get more height adjustment...rumor has it they are making this setup for PASM...Google PSS9 and check it out.
Here are some before and after pictures of the exhaust…
