...Let me give you a hot tip while I'm at it...when you reassemble leave all nuts/bolts semi snug and adjust everything back into place working from the exhaust tips to the header flanges. This will ensure that your tips will be centered and at the proper depth in the valance. The trick is to keep everything centered and square. Use a rubber mallet if things get bound up...

You should have two short sections of pipe (sleeves see photo)...they will slide on to the end of the cat pipe...after you position the muffler end you will move the sleeve over to bridge the gap...once you have joined the cat to the muffler clamp each end of the sleeve.
