Because he can. Move on.

Just read the thread (all 2 posts) and ads are part of internet forums. They need revenue.

i saw plenty of crap ads popping up that have nothing to do with my taste and i also find it pretty annoying. they could at least move it to the bottom of the page away from center of attention. it sucks. I know that is what drives this site but it does not have to be that bad. i would prefer to pay $20 annual fee for membership here rather than to see those pointless flash objects every time.

But doesn't that indicate that the ads are being seen, as intended?

What was this about now?

A thread that wasn't deleted, shouldn't be deleted?

I'm with you on the diabetes ad. I just posted a thread and saw it!

Chuck - you guys should consider targeting your ads towards user interests to ensure a high quality user experience. Most are, but sometimes you get the occasional "WTF" type of ad. You most probably sell on a CPM, but there are plenty of solutions out there that can give you the best of both worlds.

I can you some better ad solutions if you'd like. Just shoot me a PM.

My wife wanted something, I forgot what it was, but something girly like a purse. So I googled it for 30 minutes or so trying to locate a good deal on one (waste of time). When I was done, purse ads started showing up on my "banners ads". I thought to myself how odd...but then searched for car stuff and all went back to "normal" banner ads for my interest.

Its called targeted marketing...if it wasn't you someone else got on your computer to research diabetes.
