ok when is this thing coming out? What is it? Arling says headers & intake.......will it include exhaust (SE)? It makes 380HP?

When is this coming out, how much $ and most importantly; CAN WE RETRO-FIT IT TO OUR OUR CURRENT 2005 M/Y 997's?

yeah, reports are that it will upgrade the power to 381, or basically the power of the 996 GT3.

unless you are obsessive about OEM, there are better power/money upgrades from aftermarket companies.

don't even think of adding it. if the option price is something like 15k, the after-the-fact version will cost about 25k installed.

it would be insane to add a porsche powerkit after-the-fact

 

why not supercharge it?

 

Why don't you get the AWE Exhaust, that made major improvements.

The Carrera S POWERKIT

It comes with Sport Exhaust and Sport Exhaust chrome tips!!!

Power goes to 381 hp with same engine displacement, ie. 3.8L


Can't be substantiated by Porsche, as usual, but due as an '06 option.

 

The old (996) power kit consisted of:
Revised ECU
Modified intake and exhaust manifolds
New camshaft profiles

 

We are getting 403hp with our power kit on the S & 375 on the standard 997Consists.... Full exhaust, airbox,intake manifold,Filter.ECU
