LOS ANGELES People I need a recommendation please...
I am looking for a good shop than can perform a brake replacement (Rotors & Pads or just Pads) in the LA area on my 2008 Cayenne GTS. I live in the Hollywood Hills (Near the Hollywood Bowl) so the best locations would be Hollywood, North Hollywood, West Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Sherman Oaks and even Pasadena. Took my car to Rusnak and they are a joke. Not to mention the service advisors are borderline rude. Would never give them my money.
The car is also saying I need a brake fluid service performed. I don't know if I can have this done outside of a factory service department or not.
Any recommendations and-or information would be so very appreciated. Thanks for your time!!

I am taking the car to House Automotive in Pasadena. They actually advertise on this board. Spoke with Greg and he will give me a break down & estimate later on today. I will update you on my satisfaction if I have them do the work.

Thanks!
I've known Greg a few years and he's always been helpful and well mannered. Recently took my car to his shop (House Automotive) and am happy with the works done.
Quick update: I ended up getting my work done at House Automotive in Pasadena Cal. Very nice shop just off the freeway in a good area. Greg Hwang and his crew were extremely polite with stellar customer service. I am very happy with the work that was done. Saved me nearly 50% off of Rusnak service quotes. When your dealing with a $3000+ Dollar amount of work that is a MASSIVE difference. I will be taking my Porsche's to Greg from now on.
Already done and seem like they did a good job, but another shop to consider is Lucent in West LA, as recommended by gmoney:

Update:
Brought it to my indie shop, Lucent Motors in West Los Angeles (310 231 3328). Tom charged me $315 for brake pad installation.
Brake fluid change was $96 for fluid and labor. It seems like everything is 1/2 or 1/3 what the dealer would have charged me.
BTW, alignment was $160. From one of the top man in alignment in LA, this seems reasonable. Tom is really such a cheap guy.
Kidding aside, I would recommend Lucent without reservation to anyone in the LA area. He's the one who has done all the suspension work in my car.

I had Lucent install the PSS9 and alignment and break jobs before. Good work from good people.
The other day when I was in his shop I counted a CGT
on the lift (Fuchs exhaust IIRC and some suspension tuning), 2 Bentleys, a F430, and a couple of Turbo's. He's talented and seems to be doing well, despite of his very reasonable charges.
For the future, if you are looking for dealer service (vs independent shops), Ive received very good care and service from the Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills. Prices are extremely competitive, even compared with the indie shops. Ask for John Kerley.
