The 997's really starting to really grow on me. I didn't like it at first. I was taking delivery today of mine, and walked in the back lot and looked at the 996s in for service. Geez, they were suddenly starting to look old. Especially the cars with those massive 99-01 headlights (I've got one myself).

Anyway, it funny how you get used to the new look, and the how the old one starts looking really old.

While I was in the dealership, I heard something that sounded like a Formula 1 race car....of course it was Ben pulling out into traffic!

 

I think the outside is pretty sweet. It has the nice bulging lines of the 993. It just seems a lot fatter, or meatier than the 996. Not a fan of the interior though. 993 had one of the worst interiors of all time, and I think the 997 is like a high tech version of that interior. I love the flowing lines on the interior of the 996.

But lets be honest, the first car to come out in a new model line, 993 c2, 996 c2, 997 c2, always ends up being the worst looking of the line, once the c4, c4s, gt3 etc. comes out. Those newer models always make the first one look pretty plain.

 

997C2 looks way better than the 996C2, and the coming models will look equally better than their 996 counterparts. OIMO

 

i like some things but i dont like other things about the car. everyone is intiteled to their opinion.
