Orange tuning - Poor communication with problem

Just an FYI - I;ve emailed Frank at OT several times since Sept 9th because the driver side rear dectane is not working properly. Even with resistor
getting check light error. Frank is aware and said just email him. But no responses for nearly 2 months. I even emailed directly on their website.
So I would proceed with caution.

remove the fog light bulb and the error will go away if all fails with getting in touch with the guy..

X2 I've bought tons of stuff from Frank and have never had an issue. Since they have probably sold hundreds if not thousands of these tail lights that are error free, I have to think there is something wrong with your individual setup.

First, if you know someone else with a 997, try plugging your tailight(s) in to that car and see if you get an error message. If so, it's the taillight. If not, it is your car. If it is your car:

What error message is it giving you? Have you tried plugging your old light back in to confirm it clears? It sounds like a defective connector or bad/corroded connection. When you install a resistor across the circuit, there is nothing to fail as long as it is making a good connection.

If Frank sold you a defective unit then he owes you a new one and I'm confident he will stand behind his products. At the same time you can't expect him to diagnose your problem from Germany. Any time you start doing mods with after market products you have to be prepared to do some fault diagnosis yourself in the event of problems like this.
