DIY help in NY Metro area
Anyone out there in the tri-state area willing to take an hour or two to teach me how to swap brake pads and do a proper brake flush?
I know there are DIYs on the forum and Youtube but to tell you the truth, I've never wrenched anything on any car and I'm not keen to begin using videos with something like brakes on a sports car I drive aggressively. I'd be happy to pay what the local indies charge (after you stop laughing at their price gouging
), bring along some cold suds, etc. and work around any schedules.
Please reach out to me if you can help.
Thanks v much in advance.

I think you could easily handle it. I just did mine 3 weeks ago, and have never worked on a car before. Ever! It is much easier than you might think, especially on the "S" Brembo calipers. The only thing I did was watch a couple of youtube videos, and buy the "motive" brake flush bleeder. It takes a newbie about 15-20 minutes a tire for pads, maybe add another 10 min for the bleed (assuming you will do it at the same time the wheel is off). After doing it once, you will feel very confident. Good luck!!
I've done plenty of brake pads and rotors on all my cars, I haven't done my C2S, yet. But when I need to I will. The next few months are terrible for me. However, if it can wait till spring, I'd love to show you. I live on the Island, so I'm close.
MileHigh and Cam -- Thank you both.
Cam -- I will probably reach out in Spring then. No rush since I just did a flush and can do one last pad swap at my indy after this weekend's track event. I just want to square it away before next season since now that I'm running yellows on the track, I will need to switch pretty often.
All the best,

All the best,
Drive it to Florida before the snow sets in & I can give you a hand. Otherwise this will make your brake flush an easy one man job:

I spend more time jacking up the car & taking the wheels off then I do changing the pads & flushing the fluid.
