Of late, 911 seem a dime a dozen and its nice to see something looking a little different or unique.

The other day had 997 in front of me, a 996 next to me, and Boxster behind hind me. Worst yet it was in rush hour traffic with noway out. Forced to fit in like a drone. My 6 year old daughter pointed out to me that we were surrounded by Porsches.
I've never had this problem living in VA and then upstate NY. It is always a treat to see another Porsche. California?

I once owned a 73 RS project car - most exciting (i.e. frightening) car I've every had. The look of those 70's era 911 still get my heart pumping but I'm still a bit of purist and don't mod the look of my 911's too much. Having said that, I do like the Fuchs style wheels.

I like it. The front reminds me most of the slant nosed 911. I'll need to look for some comparison photos to double-check the influence. The rear looks good, too but need more pics. Also, not as dramatic in the rear, which is good/bad, I suppose

Great

Very cool.... unique, different and love the retro looks. Far from perfect and still could use some tuning no doubt but really like the direction and renderings so far...thanks for sharing

I like it! I would LOVE to see how the front and the rear would look on a cabrio.....I've been thinking about adding a ducktail to my cabrio.

I guess I’m kindof retro cause I really do like the look. I spoke (via email) with Alexander Beenen of Custom Concepts.

The Retrospective kit for Porsche 997 includes:
  • Front bumper with lights
  • Ducktail in fiberglass or carbon fiber (with or without 3rd brake light)
  • 19 inch Forged FUCHS wheels
It can be enhanced with items like sport exhaust, Carrera S tips, shortshifter etc.

If you would like to see more pictures or get pricing, please contact him.

Overall, it's a better look than many of the aftermarket kits out there. Love the Duck tail. I like lines of the front bumper but it's sticks out too far and adds unnecessary front overhang to the car visually. Not sure the vents near the running lights are an improvement on stock look. Can't comment on the rear bumper as not much is visible. Wheels are a winner in my book and, old school or not, they look great on modern Porsche's.

one word: fugly

the long front end reminds me of old 280zx (which was nice looking) rather than 70's 911

Interesting concept.. A bumper and duck tail really transforms the car into something really different.

Apparently the same company makes a sport classic front bumper.
