Retro Kit for 997

Definitely very different. I don’t know what to think yet, but it does look clean and not over done. The more I look at it the more I tend to like it, but I just do not understand the reasoning behind the making of a modern Porsche to look retro or old school. Isn’t the idea behind newer models to be progressive? But heck, you see American muscle cars going back to their roots with the most recent designs, so I guess this may be a trend.
I think the kit is very different from the over-the-top kits that we have seen for 997s, and I certainly do not think it looks bad. I know many here are nostalgic for the old school look and feel of a 911, so perhaps it will be an answer for those. It is definitely an attention grabber and will most certainly invite many of questions as to what year the 911 is. Now that I have written all this and thought it all over I think I like the kit!
Note: The pictures look almost too perfect, they seem to be renderings the more I stare at them. Also it would have been nice to see how the rear looks.

Nope don't like it, the 997 is a modern looking 911, why make it look old. Now all it needs is, to take out the HID's and put some halogen headlights. I prefer my modern 911 modern and my retro 911 retro.

Hate to say it, but I really like the white one with black trim and black fuchs. The other color combos for some reason didn't sit that well with me.
I prefer the white version over the new 991's....don't hate me.

They are actually shooting for early 70's not late 80's.
Of late, 911 seem a dime a dozen and its nice to see something looking a little different or unique.
The other day had 997 in front of me, a 996 next to me, and Boxster behind hind me. Worst yet it was in rush hour traffic with noway out. Forced to fit in like a drone. My 6 year old daughter pointed out to me that we were surrounded by Porsches.

I love the look. I am a big fan of the Sport Classic!

I started a discussion here a few weeks back about it. Getty Design makes that ducktail for about $1000 (+$400 to paint) and you can get 19" Avant Garde Classics for about $1200. I am not sure that I like that front bumper.
