IMS issues in 2006 C2?

IMS issues in 2006 C2?
I realize IMS issues are not as common as people online tend to believe -- but are they mainly in the 3.8 C2S/C4S engines? or does the problem exist in the base model too?

I'm looking at a 2006 C4

From what I've come to understand from the mountain of information is that it effects the 3.6 engines (base) more than the 3.8 (S) engines.

it can affect either. but your 2006 probably has the "redesign" which seems to be faring far better.

Little disappointing after a 300 point independent Porsche check!
