The Bumblebee Look

After I bought my Speed Yellow car about 18 months ago, my GF began affectionately referring to it as "Bumblebee" after I had the windows tinted, changed to black front and rear trunk emblems, painted the exhaust tips black, and left the GT3TEK front spoiler black. But I still wasn't satisfied and decided the car would look better with more contrast between the body and the wheels. So after seeing the Victor Innsbrucks that fellow 6speeder MiamiC70 got from Discount Tire Direct, I ordered a set for myself albeit in 19 in. diameters. Unfortunately, one size was back ordered from Victor and after waiting for a month I reluctantly cancelled the order.

I then spoke to Eli at Wheel Dynamics. (No affiliation and yes, I am aware of the history but have read many more positive than negative reviews.) He didn't have the Victors either but had the 808 series wheels in stock. He mounted new Hankook tires and had them balanced and shipped the same day. The wheels and tires arrived without incident and after I removed all of the protective packaging I was relieved to find that the wheels and tires were perfect, no loose wheel weights, no missing valve stem caps, not even any dust or dirt from being shipped all the way across country. They were already inflated and ready to be bolted on. My only "complaint" was that he didn't have any black wheel bolts so I had to paint the ones he sent. Bumblebee can finally take flight! Thanks, Eli for your excellent customer service.

BTW, my 18" Carrera III's are listed in the For Sale section, if anyone is interested.

AWESOME!!! I too live here in South Florida, I have a 997 C2S Cabrio, and I have been looking into wheel dynamics for my rim/tire combo. I see you had a pretty good experience with them! About how long did it take for you to get your wheels?

Thanks and congrats! Your car looks GREAT!!!

Rotor is infamous around these parts
The Bumblebee looks great! I'm shopping for a lip to fit my stock C2S bumper. Please tell me about the GT3TEK front lip. Any problems with the install? What is your opinion of the quality? Does it scrape a lot?

Thanks!

The black rock guards would be sweet! I saw some on a white carrera the other day.
