997.1 C2S vs C4S resale value?
997.1 C2S vs C4S resale value?
Hello,
I am currently looking at two cars: '07 C2S with Aero Kit and '07 C4S with no Aero Kit. Interior wise, both are very similarly equipped, almost same mileage, and same price. Both are very clean.
I am quite torn. I have driven both and they have pros and cons, and will be happy with both.
Which one will hold its value better in the long term, if I were to resell the car for whatever reason?
Thanks!

One thing to note - I LOVE my aerokit 911 C2S, but I can't see having that kit as a daily driver... I have a helluva time with typical things like speed bumps, major road undulations et al. I've become quite adept at negotiating most things without damaging the chin spoiler but it requires presence of mind at all times IMO. Is the chin spoiler a quick and easy thing to replace? Yes. I just hate to tear them up. It's not a situation where you could be at ease on the phone, playing with the radio and rippin' around... Again, just my humble opinion.
I dont know about resale value one beeing a 4s im sure the four wheel drive would be more expencive , my reason for buying a 4s is because i like the look of the rear on a 4s you really notice it on black i love the c4s rear end ,for me it was the look .

Also, what climate do you live in? If snowy and you are going to drive 911 through the winter, C4S will be advantageous although with a good set of Blizzaks you can rock the C2S. Ground clearance is the biggest issue after snowfall.
Some owners place a premium on the wider hips of the C4S while others appreciate the lighter weight and arguably more nimble handling of the C2S. Did you appreciate any significant difference in handling when you drove both cars?
Thanks for sharing your views.
When I drove the two, I did not develop any strong preference for one or the other. The C2S felt lighter, but the C4S felt sure-footed. I was both impressed. It will be a weekend driver. So, I can live with the aero kit. So, at this point, only resale value will sway my decision... One has the aero kit, but narrow body. The other one doesn't, but wide body. Both look fantastic in its own way.
