997 c4 and c4 "s"
I'm all confused by the new Porsche naming convention on the 997. I thought the "S" name was usually given to a wider rear end car, but not more power. Hence the 993 C2 v. 993 C2S and the 996 C4 v. 996 C4S. Yet with the 997, you have the C2 and C2S which are the same size, just different power, and then the C4 & C4S, which have bigger rears than the C2 yet different power. Looks like now if you want a widebody, you have to get all wheel drive. I guess they are getting rid of some traditional cars...the narrow body 4 wheel drive (C4) and the wide body rear wheel drive (C2S).
Pdutta- what about the 996 turbo and turbo S, same car but the S has more power (x-50 option standard). I heard that porsche's new strategy is that each model gets and S version, can't wait to see the gt2 S. Does anyone know if they are going to release a cayenne turbo S?
