i don't see it that way exactly...VW would like to snag the remaining shares...not sure if they can since this is a legal mess

Wow, 7 new models in one year sounds a bit excessive. Unless they are simply going to go the Chevrolet / GMC route and rebrand a couple existing models.

 

7 is not much if you include all the variations of the 991: c2, c2s, c2 cab, c2s cab, and maybe the c4 in those variations.

 

Hadn't thought of it that way, but I guess it makes sense.

 

Heard they were also introducing the new Boxster this year (at least that's what my dealer said).

 

In the future, I could see Porsche including a four cylinder option available in certain models - Porsche has increasingly diversified their market as competition increased throughout the years.

F. Peich and VW have been wanting to buy Porsche for years, but Porsche was too expensive.

After credit backed debacle, when Porsche tried to take over VW, Porsche became affordable again.....was actually bankrupt for one day - they even took money from the Arabs which they said they would never do.

The Germans and VW are fairly conservative and probably would not announce publically an intent to buy PAG unless they meant it.
