New P-car owner

Hi all,

I justed wanted to post how excited I am about owning my first P-car. I bought a 2006 C2 convertible and its sitting at home waiting for me to return from Afghanistan. My father is taking care of it and has taken pics (attached). I was hoping everyone/anyone would give me some insights into what I need to do besides normal maintenance? I recently went online and bought some Xpel coating for hood, fenders, mirrors, etc and also bought a FM modulator so my Ipod would work.

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations and thank you for your service. Enjoy!

PS: I don't think you'll be happy with the FM modulator. There are lots of direct connect and bluetooth streaming options though.

DS997c2s,

Thanks for the kind words. I will test out the modulator when I go on leave in FEB, if I dont like it I will begin looking up some other options. On the XPEL, will that be hard for me to put of the car myself? I am getting my step-father (owned his own autobody shop for 20+ years) to help but is it something fairly simple? Thanks again for the insights and I hope to have some good times in the car.

I think professional application for xpel film is recommended. All scratches, dings have to be removed first.

Thanks all,

Im sure from what everyone says its a ride like no other. My dad already told me he likes it better than my last car -- 2004 Jag S-type. Now just got to get him to leave it in the garage until I get home LOL
