Reminds me of a quirk in the 993 that I was disappointed to hear had vanished by the time I was ready to buy a 911 - (997.2): the gas pedal was no longer mounted "upside down"

One of the criticism us 911 drivers give to the Nissan GTR is its computer aided driving experience. It seems like the 991 is going down the same road...

Nobody says the 991 is a bad car, they just argue whether Porsche purists want a perfect 911 without the "quirks" our cars have.

I honestly don't know whether I'll be so thrilled with the new car that I'll be desperate to have one, or if I'll leave thinking my 997 is more involving and fun... but I can't wait to find out!
Same here. When do people think we'll be able to see and test drive a 991 at a dealership? I remember seeing my first 997 "in the wild" and I chased it down to get a closer look. Turns out the guy was going to the same place I was so I ended up getting to chat with him for a while at our destination. Was very cool and I'm looking forward to seeing my first 991.
