None of the 997's (in the US) have a spare tire.

Well the VIN doesn't lie

I'm not going to repost what others have said about the visual queue's...

Pics - looks like a C4S

Thanks again for all of your helpful comments. From what I've read here, it does in fact seem to be a C4S. I'm attaching a few pics that I took today.

Thanks again everyone.

Wow, what a great hand-me-down! Congrads, looks like you have a nice model there. Now... what are the options? You may have made out like a bandit with this car. And since you were just given it, then you already have. Nice!

Thanks DirtyVegas.
I'm new to Porsche so not sure I can spot everything, but from what I learned - it has the sports chrono package, leather everything (seats, steering wheel and dash), pdk, nav and bluetooth, Bose speakers and probably a few more things. I'm discovering something new about it every day...

Join the local Porsche club. You'll have fun for sure. Cars are great and so are the people

Interesting, PDK and BT were not options on an '08. You probably have a tip-auto and maybe an aftermarket integrated BT? Either way, you better be stoked as all heck!

besides the VIN, u can't take ur dad's word for it ??

seriously tho, 4 represents an AWD and u can def see it in the wide rear.

(my GF doesn't notice when i change my wheels but even she can tell the difference between NB and WB)

Enjoy !

well, now I know for sure.

DirtyVegas - I think you're right. It's probably the "tip-auto" (I can change gears manually on the steering wheel). Bluetooth is definitely after market (I think it's "tooki" (?) ).

Thanks again everyone. Sorry for the juvenile questions... it's my first Porsche.
