ok, an observation about sport exh...
i noticed whilst driving meself along, sorry, this car does stuff to one, i am sure youall have noticed, anyway, i had the sport exhaust engaged, great sound to my uneducated ear, and switched it off and felt what i thought was some impedence to the power or whatever...seemed to hold it back a bit, though when i engaged it again i didn't feel any loosening up or a reversal of what had happened the other way...could it be that the motor breathes better with sport engaged?, maybe getting a couple extra horses, the sound is enough for me to keep it on
You seem to have a 1st generation 997 with Sports Chrono Plus; when you activate the sports button, not only do you hear the louder exhaust as it is activated, but you also sharpen the throttle response, relax the PSM threshold and firm up the shock absorbers. You can put the shocks back to normal mode by pressing the button with the shock absorber symbol just to the left of the sport button while leaving the sharper throttle and louder exhaust sound if you leave sport activated. When you deactivate the sport button, the car reverts to its default mode and you'll feel as if you lost power, though you haven't lost any at all - just got a less responsive throttle.
