track tires
been running Toyo 888 for DE , thinking of going to Hoosers, looking for info I have a 06 997S , would changing to a full track tire add any traction over the track/street Toyos

Hoosier R6's are way better then any R Comp for dry weather grip.
on my C2S I ran 245/35/18 and 315/30/18...although I might be jumping to a full slick for this year with the GT3.
You should look at getting a different differential, the stock open diff doesn't allow you to get on the throttle early enough.

Lots of info on r compound tires in GT3 forum. Generally speaking, 888's can go more heat cycles than the Hoosiers but wont have same ultimate grip.
Really depends on your application (type of driving, car set up, autox or track event, etc.).
A lot of the GT3 guys post their lap time comparison on different tires they try. Good luck, I just bought 888's for myself for mainly autox and some DE's
