Who has gone from a standard to a turbo? Why?
I have owned a 997.1 Turbo and currently have a 997 C2S. I prefer the turbo in about every way other than the exhaust not being more aggressive on the N/A car. I sold my turbo in a fit of panic after having our third child thinking I needed something more practical (even though we already had a family rig). Bought a new 4Runner which I began to hate within a week and two months later bought the C2S. So I essentially traded the Turbo for 2 cars, but have never been able to get the Turbo out my head. Likely in a few years I will try and pick up a gently owned 997.2 Turbo S with PDK. The Turbo is a brilliant car.
The problem with 911s is that once you own one and fall in love with it, nothing else works. I have owned a slew of BMW M cars, Mercs, etc., and I can't even fathom purchasing anything other than an "*** engined **** slot car" (to quote C/D).
I'm very close to making an offer on the '09 C2S I saw @ Northtown. A month earlier than my target, so I might feel I'm being impulsive.
How many of you guys pulled the trigger on impulse?

Guilty!
We were riding out our bikes on a nice Sunny Monterey Ca December Saturday and happend to ride by the Porsche dealer. A black C2S was sitting at the front of the lot and caught my eye. I stopped for a second on the sidewalk and just stared at it.
The following day we stopped in to the dealer to just to "look" at it...
Well three hours later it was in my garage! The test drive got me
