Dectane rear-LED - Check Indicator Error Code
Dectane rear-LED - Check Indicator Error Code
I received my Dectane rear tail lights yesterday. I installed them immediately. The good news is that they look fantastic!
The bad news is that I immediately received an error code. – (see image)
Here is a description of what happens:
Upon left turn indication only -
·From the inside, the error code appears and the blinking/noise begins to flash in quick succession (much faster than normal).
·From the outside - the indicator appears to be working correctly - lights work and flash correctly.
This DOES NOT occur on the right turn indicator at all.
I did not install the resistor boxes - but since it is not happening on the right side, I did not believe this could be the problem.
Anyone had any experience with this issue?
I have contacted Orange Tuning Directly - I will post their response to the issue when they respond.

check the connectors... That happened to me... exactly as you described; and one of the lights had a connector loose. It's not a connector that goes to the car's wiring, it's a cable connector from the lamp that connects to another cable from the lamp itself. My car is a 2005 and I didn't use the supplied resistors, since the lights have built-in resistors...

Thanks for the tip. I took out the light and by playing with the wires I narrowed it down to one loose connection. Unfortunately the connection seems loose inside the plastic connector housing. I was able to set off the error code by shifting the wire back and forth as it enters the housing. I may be able to fix it myself but I am just thinking why should I have to - these are brand new. Anyway, I got it to where it seemed to be working consistently and I will have to just see how it goes. Thanks again for the advise.
